FAQs

What can I expect for my first visit?

After your new patient paperwork is filled out, Dr. Haraway will begin your initial diagnostic ultrasound to assess the underlying problems. Then he will discuss your options for beginning treatment. This visit may take up to 1-1/2 hours.

How long does recovery take?

Each procedure is an outpatient procedure. In most cases, you should be able to return to normal activities within a few hours, and work the next day.

Are there any side effects?

As with all procedures, there is no 100% guarantee, however side effects are generally limited to mild discomfort and swelling. Bruising is the most common side effect. Complications are rare but can include bleeding, DVT, and damage to blood vessels or nerves.

How long does each treatment take?

From entering our doors to leaving you should plan on 2 hours.

Does someone need to drive me?

You will need someone to drive you to and from the clinic if you are medicated before or during the procedure. They are welcome to wait for you in the waiting room or leave us with their phone number to call when you're nearly done with treatment.
